Getting started

How do I create my first job?

From the Jobs tab, tap the green "+ New Job" button. Fill in the customer, description, and scheduled date. Your job will appear in the job list immediately.

How does the AI quote builder work?

Go to Quotes → New Quote → AI Mode. Describe the job in plain English (or speak it using the mic). Spanr generates an itemised quote with UK-accurate pricing. Every line item is editable before you send.

Can I use Spanr without internet?

Yes. Spanr is fully offline-capable. Jobs, quotes, customers, and certificates all work without a connection. Data syncs automatically when you're back online.

Quotes & invoices

How do I send a quote to a customer?

From any quote, tap "Send to Customer". You can send by email, copy a link, or share via WhatsApp. The customer receives a mobile-optimised quote they can accept or decline.

How do CIS deductions work?

On any invoice, toggle "CIS customer" on. Spanr automatically calculates 20% (standard) or 30% (higher rate) CIS deductions and shows the net payment amount.

Can customers pay online?

Yes. Enable the Stripe payment link on any invoice. Customers get a "Pay Now" button that takes them to a secure card payment page. You're notified the moment they pay.

Certificates & compliance

What certificates can Spanr generate?

CP12 gas safety certificates, EICR reports, minor works certificates, gate commissioning certificates, CAT 5 risk assessments, force and speed test records, and service certificates for all trades.

Does my Gas Safe number appear on CP12s?

Yes. Add your Gas Safe registration number in Settings → Profile → Trade credentials. It appears automatically on every CP12 and gas service certificate you generate.

Can customers sign certificates digitally?

Yes. On any certificate, tap "Customer signature". The customer signs on-screen. The signature is embedded in the PDF and the certificate is timestamped.

Billing & account

How long is the free trial?

Spanr gives you a 14-day free trial with all features unlocked and no credit card required. At the end of your trial you can choose a plan or your account will move to read-only mode.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Cancel from Settings → Billing at any time. You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No questions asked.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation. You can export everything from Settings → Data & Privacy before that window closes.
